How to update existing project or bio (Portfolio Entries)

- Login (dev site): https://www.linkdesigngroup.com/wp-admin/
Live site will be: https://www.linkdesigngroup.com/wp-admin/ - Click Portfolio Entries in left column – this displays a list of all portfolio items
- Locate the entry you want to change and click Edit link just below the title
- Click on the block you want to change
- Make changes to block and save, then update in the upper right hand corner
- Check the front end by clicking the permalink

How to add new project or bio (Portfolio Entries)

Live site will be: https://www.linkdesigngroup.com/wp-admin/ - Select sliders under Layerslider WP in left column
- Choose an existing project slider and duplicate it – drop down arrow in upper right corner
- Open the new slider and click slider settings – change the title
- Click Slides
- For each slide, replace the background image
- Save changes at the bottom – take note of what number this slider is (for instance “15”)
- Click Portfolio Entries in left column – this displays a list of all portfolio items
- Find a similar project in the list and click the clone link directly under the title
- Locate the newly created entry (should be at the top of the list now) and click edit
- Change status to “draft”
- Change the slider number in the first block to your new slider’s number. For example: layerslider id=”15″
- Replace all the images and text
- Remove unused blocks but leave the bottom block “page content” (related projects)
- Replace the Featured Image and make sure it’s in the proper categories in right column
Note: the category Featured causes that project to show up on the homepage grid as well as the project page grid. - Update in the upper right hand corner
- Preview
- Go back to the back end and publish when approved

NOTE: To change where it shows up in the Portfolio Grids, change the date – past date will make it show lower, newer date will make it show higher.
How to make changes to pages

- Locate the page you want to change and click Edit link just below the title
- Make your changes to text and images
- Update in upper right corner

How to update existing job description

- Make needed changes

How to add a new job opening

- Choose an existing job description and click Clone
- Locate the new copy and click Edit
- Make changes to the body copy
- Click the button block at the bottom and change it’s link under Link Settings

How to add push staging to live (make your changes live)

- Login (server): https://accounts.icdsoft.com/dashboard/hosting
- Click “Control Panel Login”
- Select WordPress
- Click the button “Manage” under Manage WordPress Installations
- Click on pencil icon (Edit)
- Scroll down to Staging. Click “Set as live”. This will now push the staging site to be live
Permalink Bug (fix the broken links issue)
- Once the changes have been pushed, log into the live site.
- Go to Settings in the left hand column
- Click “Permalinks”
- Click “Save Changes”. You don’t have to change anything – just click that button. This should repair the broken links.
